Who We Are
MEMBERS ALLIANCE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION was established in 1927 as Columbus Postal Credit Union to serve area U.S. Postal employees. Over the years our field of membership was expanded to serve additional government agencies, local companies, and associations. Our name Members Alliance Federal Credit Union, was introduced in Spring 1994, after changing from a state to a federal charter. The new charter and name positioned our credit union for expanded service and growth. Look in Who Can Join for a complete member group listing.
The credit union is democratically controlled and you take part in your financial future by electing your Board of Directors. The credit union is operated by a full time professional staff with policies set by the Board of Directors.
We strive to keep costs low and profits are returned to our members through lower fees and reduced loan rates because we are not for profit, but for service.
To become a member, just open a share (savings) account with at least $5. All accounts are insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government. Whether it's opening your child's first savings account, a new checking account, or buying a new car, we're here to serve you.
